Ordering Options
With the advent of Giclee© printing and large format flat bed scanners, the world of fine art printing changed dramatically. Although it does not replace litho technology for mass production of large editions, the large format scanners provide an image that is much more accurate to the original than the old photographic color separations. And the industrial 8 to 12 color printers enhance that accuracy well beyond what the old 4 color process could achieve in litho prints. Added to those advantages is the "print on demand" service so that artists don't have to warehouse the entire edition of prints. These developments allow artists to offer smaller editions that can be ordered one at a time and printed on higher quality substrates such as heavy acid free cotton rag watercolor paper or canvas. They can also be offered in more than one size. Some of my larger paintings, for example, are offered in as many as 4 sizes. This new flexibility in printing results in more choices for the collector in size, substrate, and price, but also makes it more difficult to list all of the choices on a website. Consequently, the only prices that will show up on the site are for the lithos and the children's books.
So please email us or call for pricing on the original or options available for the print you are interested in. Also if you are considering a print for a Christmas or birthday gift, please order very early to allow shipping from my printer to me, so that I can inspect and sign the print, and then shipping from me to you. Allowing about 5 to 6 weeks helps all who are involved. I will pay for the shipping from the printer to me, but there will be a $15 charge for shipping from me to you.
